Hola, chicas (not sure what to say for men, sorry)! So, I did this look for my friend Emilee yesterday, who wanted something more natural and less glam photo shoot style.
I know you all know what glam photos I'm talking about. Those ones people (like my mom) used to get in the late nineties with boas and off-the-shoulder faux leather jackets and pearls. Women got their hair and makeup done super dramatic and well, "glam" for the photos, later on giving a wallet size to their husband to carry around.
So totally off topic, but basically, she didn't want that. She wanted a natural, no-makeup makeup look. And actually, those tutorials blew up on YouTube a while back, so some of you may have watched a few of them.
For the more natural finish, I was very light-handed in my contour, blush and highlight application. By doing so, I was able to enhance her natural features without it seeming like she had much of anything on her face.
The eye look was meant to be very simplistic, enough to brighten up the eye area, but add a touch of elegance. I used minimal liner, so that the lash line and waterline were defined, but not enough to stand out against the entire face.
The key to a no-makeup look is to basically camouflage your work, so that the person will look put together, but as if doing so didn't take much time or effort.
Creating a soft pink lip that nearly mimicked her natural lip shade with a hint more pinkness brought color to the face, but yet again, the color appears natural and could be passed off as a bare lip.

Lastly, I used some ABH Brow Pro powder to further define her brows. Emilee's brows are one of her best features, and she takes pride in keeping them shaped up. A great natural brow shape is so hard to come by, so I felt it also necessary to use a brow highlighting pencil across the bottom of them to further define their shape.
And there you have it..
The finished look is completely wearable and easy for anyone to do on themselves! I literally used only three shadows on her eyes: a pale matte brown shade for the crease/transition, a lightly shimmered champagne on the lids, and a matte white on the brow bone, I also used the light brown along her bottom lash line, but the color is light enough to accentuate, yet does not overpower the rest of the look.
