"1995" Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick Dupe

I am sure many of you all know how popular Gerard Cosmetics "1995" lipstick by Jaclyn Hill has been lately, so this dupe is so exciting for me to share with you! The Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks retail at $19, so finding an "almost" dupe is very cool, and it makes it so that everyone can have the signature 90's lip.

The dupe in this post is "Touch of Spice" by Maybelline, which has a slightly pinker undertone, but is in the same color range. So far, it's the closest dupe I have found. I paid $4.97 for the Maybelline lipstick (at Walmart), so it's dirt cheap in comparison.

In the photos below, you'll see swatches and both lipsticks applied to my lips in natural lighting and with flash.

Excuse the fact that I have some dry patches on my lips that are showing through since it is winter, but those pictures give you a clear depiction of the similarities between these colors.

Personally, I like the Maybelline formula better than the Gerard Cosmetics formula. As I shared with you all previously, I am not absolutely in love with the formula of the Gerard lipstick I purchased because they are somewhat dry and don't seem at all moisturizing.

I prefer the more pink hue of the "Touch of Spice" to the nude undertones in the "1995" lipstick. Although I think both go well with my skin tone, I still question whether I would buy "1995" again.

If you want the look for less, then "Touch of Spice" is definitely an option for you! I hope you will go get either of these and let me know what your thoughts are on the colors, formula, prices, etc. I'd love to hear from you!

xx
